BY TIN CAT ENTERTAINMENT

Years before ‘The Revolution Will Be Televised’, ‘Balls of Steel’, Joe Lycett and Lee Nelson, there was ‘The Mark Thomas Comedy Product’, a show that went from knob gags to costing cabinet ministers their careers. What started life as £1 shop situationalism morphed into accidental journalism and ran for 6 series. Mark changed tax laws, appeared before Parliamentary select committees, cost British Nuclear Fuels over £1m, exposed corruption and then stopped. Mark Thomas and Geoff Atkinson (series producer) tell the story and play the tapes… Basically it’s a clip show from the programme Channel Four would like to forget. Lights! Camera! Anarchy!

“What a man!” Glenda Jackson MP

“Quick lads, it’s Channel 4, run!” Richard Caborn Minister for Trade

“A chap with views” The Times

Presented by Mark Thomas and Geoff Atkinson
Editor – Chris Evans
Producer – Tin Cat Entertainment
